Scottish model where judges were nominated by lawyers & Immunity Must Be Overruled for Police & Prosecutors to Save Everyone

Once upon a time, we use to live in an honorable society. All systems move toward corruption and they inevitably move to protect their own agents. Ben Franklin wanted to create a legal system based upon the Scottish model where judges were nominated by lawyers and not politicians. He lost that argument and we have been paying dearly ever since. People see these protests and blame the blacks. They are ignorant of what is taking place in our legal system. It is not just about the blacks. The entire system has become so corrupt and this is why the United States has more people in prison than any other nation in the world including Russia. If you simply drive on federal property and forget your drivers’ license, you must serve 30 days in prison. A prosecutor will not get credit for a conviction in the Feds UNLESS you go to prison! Does that mean that Americans are the worst criminals on the planet? Or simply does it mean that it is time to change the system.
Proprietorial abuse is NOT limited to blacks. New York City specializes in prosecuting anyone who competes against the New York bankers. When I asked a lawyer why no New York banker has EVER been criminally prosecuted, he laughed and said, “You don’t shit where you eat!”

The Road Ahead – A Complete Mess. 2020 -2nd half

QUESTION: There is a theory that the markets are rising because of the riots as the anarchy makes it more likely that Trump will win re-election. I’m wondering if the Dems remove Biden and replace him with a better candidate if this will cause the markets to tank.
SMD
ANSWER: I understand that is the fundamental people are trying to put on the rally. It is more complicated than just that. The dollar is backing off as the ECB is trying to push the currency higher in supporting a bullish view that digitizing the Euro will be bullish from the Euro by forcing people to take their money to the banks. These are punters looking for a quick profit and not the long-term trend.
There have been smart money moving into the USA from Europe and Britain for fear of what is coming down the road. Most of the calls we are getting are sheer confusion. Over 100 countries have applied for relief from the IMF and the real problem is that pension funds ran into Emerging-Market debt to get the higher yield. But the European agenda to move the economy to a new green world order will devastate the Emerging-Markets. Then you have the Northern Europeans telling their people not to go south for vacation which will debated the economics of Spain, Italy, and Greece. This will come back to create civil unrest that they separate or all debts will be forgiven converting them to perpetual bonds.
The second half of the year is now looking to be a complete mess on every front

There can be no equal protect of the law as long as an government employee is above the law

Supreme Court is Once Again Inspiring Civil War
Raxe Riot-Detroit_1967

QUESTION: Mr. Armstrong, I find it really amazing how you have forecast politics, markets, war, disease, and even said in 2014 race riots would return. I understand it is not you personally. What do you see from here with these riots even taking place in London?
PH
ANSWER: Civil Unrest has been taking place for a very long time. If you step back and correlate it to the economy, you will notice that it rises when people start to struggle. The race riots right now would NOT takes place has we also accelerated the unemployment dramatically to where there are officially 40 million people who have lost their jobs. There have been plenty of deaths inflected by police since 2014. This would have normally peaked out by 2018, but the economic conditions show this cycle will continue into 2027 if the Supreme Court does not overrule its previous decisions.
On May 25, Minneapolis, Minnesota police officers arrested George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, after a deli employee called 911, accusing him of buying cigarettes with a counterfeit $20 bill. Seventeen minutes after the first squad car arrived at the scene, Mr. Floyd was unconscious and pinned beneath three police officers, showing no signs of life.
The death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police has re-energized a national debate over misconduct by law enforcement officials that the Supreme Court may be poised to enter. Both the left and the right finally agree on one thing – qualified immunity for government officials is unsupported by the Constitution and was even one of the express complaints in the Declaration of Independence:
For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:
There can be no equal protect of the law as long as an government employee is above the law. Both prosecutors and police should be held to the same standards as any citizen. Until that happens, then the Supreme Court has placed the nation is jeopardy of civil war. There are plenty of good police, but they will be gunned down because of the abuses of the bad ones. Protecting bad prosecutors and police puts at risk others in the same field and the nation itself.
To understand Shakespeare’s famous line “the first thing we do let’s kill all the lawyers” must be understood in its context. Private citizens were not allowed to hire lawyers – only the king. So this saying comes from a tax rebellion where the “lawyers” were the king’s prosecutors who were seizing people’s property (farms and houses) because they were unable to pay his taxes. Prosecutors are by no means trustworthy simply because they hold that position. They are human just like police and have knowing prosecuted people wrongfully for political purposes.
If the Supreme Court does not ABOLISH all immunity for prosecutors and police, they will lead the country into civil war just as the Dread Scott decisions did in 1860 holding black were not covered by the Constitution in a stupid attempt to defuse the rising tension between North and South.
While looting is wrong, if the underlying legality is not changed, this is going to get far worse

China, Taiwan

China v USA

QUESTION: Obviously, China is not Hitler or Napoleon with dreams of conquering the world. The days of empire building are gone. China has always been the one who is invaded from the Mongols and Japanese to the Europeans. Do you see China becoming more dominant in empire building retaking Taiwan?
JN
ANSWER: I am working a report on this subject. You are correct that China historically has not been the aggressor. They were conquered by the Mongols and were invaded by Japan. They never set out on a world domination plan like Hitler or Napoleon because that culture was not prevalent in Asia compared to Europe where each country at one point was the dominant political state in Europe. Russia, on the other hand, believed that it was their position to spread communism to the world.
That said, both Hong Kong and Taiwan were part of China historically. From their perspective, it is not a conquest compared to reunification as Germany viewed the return of East Germany.
What has protected Hong Kong is the economy. That is why China was willing to allow it to retain a lot of its freedom. Now that the world economy is under assault, the protection of both Hong Kong and Taiwan is not as secure as it once was. Alienate China and they have no incentive to just observe.
This is not the war of old. Standing by and not engaging against Hitler and hoping he would stop each time was the wrong decision BECAUSE Hitler was motivated by revenge and conquering Europe. That incentive is no longer present today among the superpowers. Nobody wants to occupy the other. As long as everyone got along economically, that was the bottom-line benefactor to prevent war. Today, war would be strikingly different. It would not be one of conquest, but of annihilating an enemy. Stop the world economy and you encourage war today.

The Cycle Behind COVID-19

I have reliable research I have not yet concluded but so far this COVID-19 could have been a human experiment. It appears to be like HIV insofar as it attacks the T cells and can penetrate them. These are the human cells that attack viruses. This is most likely why older patients are dying because they have fewer T cells as they grow older. This does not confirm any connection to the Wuhan lab for there have been such experiments carried out in various other places around the world. Therefore, this may damage other organs in older people including the lungs.
This still does not negate the exaggerated response of shutting down the world economy. Sweden has proven that lockdown makes no difference. The WHO and Gates have increased the risk of starvation and lowered the living standards of society as a whole. That poses a far greater threat going forward the longer the lockdown continues. The greatest plagues in human history have taken place also during solar minimums for this is when the climate turns colder and crops fail, increasing malnutrition, which in turn lowers the immune system enabling greater death tolls.
Therefore, this COVID-19 may spread like the flu, but it still does not appear to be as lethal during this season. That does not rule out a new improved version during the next flu season.
A client sent this in which is an interesting projection. Our own work has found that the cycle appears to be closer to 8.6 years when dealing with viruses exclusively. This is combining bacteria and viruses. Any way we look at this, there is a cycle to disease as well as to the economy and life in general.
If we look at just the viruses, the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak was first discovered in Asia in February 2003. The outbreak lasted approximately six months as the disease spread to more than two dozen countries in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia before it was stopped in July 2003. Therefore, cyclically, the timeline for most viruses remains the same and we warned that this new virus “should peak out in April/May.” There was the potential for a peak in the Southern Hemisphere at the latest by June/July since it likes the colder weather. I further wrote: “There is NO INDICATION that this will last longer than any other virus issue. For now, it will probably continue to expand into April/May before we see any top in the number of cases.”
When we look at MERS-CoV, it was during September 2012, when WHO had been notified of 2494 laboratory-confirmed cases of infection with MERS-CoV in the Middle East. The fatality rate was 34.4%. MERS-CoV appears to have come from an animal source in the Arabian Peninsula. Researchers have found MERS-CoV in camels from several countries. Studies have shown that direct contact with camels is a risk factor for human infection with MERS-CoV. In this incident, MERS was first identified in September 2012 and had subsided by June 2013. There was a second outbreak in 2015 in South Korea. The first patient of the outbreak developed symptoms on May 11, 2015. WHO and the South Korean government estimated that the outbreak ended in July 2015, after about two months. By the end, there were 186 confirmed cases and 38 deaths.
We will see COVID-19 reappear again in the next flu season of 2021/2022. If it mutates like influenza for each season, then it can perhaps become more deadly in the future. Cyclically, Socrates projected the April/May period for the peak and ideally the week of April 6th in most places. SARS came 17.2 years ago and MERS 8.6 years ago. Cyclically, there may be a resurgence in two years which would be in 2021/2022 flue season (2021.6 for a beginning).
Richard E. Nisbett (1941-) wrote a good book entitled, “The Geography of Thought, How Asians and Westerners Think Differently … and why.” He attributed his work to a Chinese student who said to him, “You know, the difference between you and me is that I think the world is a circle, and you think it’s a line.”
He goes on to quote him:
“The Chinese believe in constant change, but with things always moving back to some prior state. They pay attention to wide range of events; they search for relationships between things; and they think you can’t understand the part without understanding the whole. Westerners live in a simpler, more deterministic world; they focus on salient objects or people instead of the larger picture; and they think they can control events because they know the rules that govern the behavior of objects.”
Nisbett was indeed correct. Asian culture has instinctively understood the cyclical movement of TIME. In Western culture, we tend to think linearly, not dynamically. When we look at events, we try to reduce them to a single cause and effect. This thinking produces confusion when things do not follow that chosen path and false beliefs arise by not recognizing the world is a far more complex place. Things are never a single cause and effect. There is a hidden order behind everything that is far more complex than meets the Western eye.
Consequently, like climate change, the projections are always linear. There is no reconciliation with cyclical behavior despite the fact that absolutely everything in the universe functions cyclically right down to the beat of your heart to the brainwaves in your head. When you no longer have a brainwave, you are dead.

Gates & Fauci Conspiracy

The conspiracy between Bill Gates and Anthony Fauci is in the open. We now have Fauci saying the same thing as gates – the country will NEVER return to normal until everyone is vaccinated against this pretend virus. Fauci has suggested that until a vaccine is developed, we will NEVER be allowed to do anything in public.
This is the overthrow of the United States. It is a conspiracy blended with the Climate Change agenda from day one.
President Trump must appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate all the connections. I have DIRECT knowledge of calls made to elite people who were told to sell everything because of this “virus” and Bill Gates resigned from the boards of Microsoft and Berkshire Hatheway just before Warren Buffet lost up to $80 billion on March 23rd.
This is a matter of NATIONAL SECURITY and everyone should be writing to the White House now! They have weakened the US economy and thrown the world into a serious state where war now becomes the traditional response. I have always stated, my research has shown that war NEVER takes place when everyone is fat & happy. Turn the economy down, and war becomes inevitable.

Is Commercial Real Estate in Trouble?

COMMENT: Dear Marty,
I am located in the intermountain west where many national tech companies are re-locating. We are referred to as “Silicon Slopes” of the west. Since Covid-19 came to light and we have essentially a “stay at home” and work policy here in Utah, all the new beautiful office buildings packed with tech companies are now empty. I was joking with some of my co-workers that when the dust settles many of these companies may realize that they were nearly as efficient/ productive without having their employees all in the same room. I believe that the fallout to commercial real estate may be an unintended by-product that will come from all of this. In speaking with a couple of different business owners, their leases come up for renewal in August and both have already said they don’t need the space anymore. I just find it interesting that this virus is the gift that keeps on giving with so many unintended casualties. Thanks for keeping it real.
Sincerely,
SB
REPLY: Yes, commercial real estate is crashing. This may be an area of unexpected consequences. If they keep raising taxes on businesses, they will simply convert employees to contracted independents. That will eliminate the employer matching taxes. These people have not realized the damage they have done to the economy. This is not going to be back to normal. Many small businesses that were finding it hard to compete with online businesses will not reopen.
We do see a sharp spike low during the 2nd quarter 2020. That has been our target for an initial low since our forecast back in 2015. We will be looking at updating our real estate forecasts given the recent events.
